2021 was a significant year for the growth and development of Brave and BAT. Brave grew over 2x to 50.2 million monthly active users in 2021, with over 8 million users earning BAT through Brave Rewards, becoming the 11th most distributed token by on-chain holders according to etherscan.io.
Today, Brave launches the Brave Wallet, a native wallet built into the browser, enabling users to store, manage, grow, and swap crypto from within Brave.
Brave will integrate the Solana blockchain, providing default Solana ecosystem support to Brave's 42 million MAUs and 1.3 million verified Creators.
Capitalizing on our user base and the success we have had with BAT adoption, we intend to make crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) accessible and usable for everyone through the following efforts.
We received 10 RFC&C proposals from teams focusing on both L1 and L2 tech that brought practical insights on how to improve the original THEMISv2 protocol spec. In this blogpost, we’ll dive into each of the received proposals and provide pointers for the material each team submitted for the RFC&C.
